What happens after you pin an issue?

Once an upload succeeds, the pin becomes visible on the map. New photos wait for administrator approval before becoming public. A pending photo does not hide the pin.

Nearby people can confirm that the issue is still there or submit evidence of a resolution. “Resolution reported” means a fix has been submitted. Closed and administrator-verified statuses are separate signals; none is a promise from a government authority.

You can follow a pin for updates. If a report is waiting to upload, it has not been published yet: check Pending uploads to retry or cancel it.

A community record, alongside official channels

PublicPin helps people make shared local problems visible. It is not a government complaint portal or emergency service, and a report does not automatically reach an authority. Use the responsible service’s official channel when you need an official complaint or urgent response.
